Our Purpose

We respond to local needs and provide underserved communities with tools to lead healthier lives through the integration of information, technology, and operations. This strategic advantage allows us to deliver specialized infrastructure services.

Our Expertise

Reliable infrastructure is the backbone for any successful health project and field support is vital to build and maintain such systems.

We collaborate with partners to design, build, restore and maintain diverse sites and facilities in complex global environments. Our accomplishments throughout the continent include the establishment of emergency operations centers, warehouses, and laboratory sites.

Our Approach

Our team of highly qualified engineers, field staff, and project managers bring international best practices to ensure that every project’s process and operations are smooth, integrated and functional.

Our Effect

We have generated pointed and proven results in the scope of infrastructure development and maintenance.

Warehouses

Our professionalism and implementation streamlined the creation of a World Food Programme (WFP) warehouse hub in Kano, Nigeria in March of 2017. Comprised of two structures of 3,100 square metres each, the hub has enabled the WFP in Nigeria to accelerate the food and nutrition assistance provided to over one million people.

“Thanks to the hub in Kano, we were able to deliver food in only 19 days on average, as opposed to the three months usually needed under the conventional procurement process,” explains Gerard Rebello, Head of Supply Chain, WFP.

NPHCDA Renovations

eHealth Africa received funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to renovate three administrative blocks of three zonal offices in Bauchi, Kano, and Niger states, and the NPHCDA annex building in Abuja, FCT. The aim of these renovations was to address mechanical, electrical and civil engineering faults in the buildings and to resolve the perennial problem of insufficient workspaces. Laboratories

We provide laboratory support throughout the region.

Our head office, in Kano, Nigeria, is home to a state-of-the-art facility developed with the University of Nebraska Medical Center with the goal to provide complex diagnostic services to enhance healthcare in Northern Nigeria. We managed the construction, set-up and maintenance of the site to operate in a dynamic environment where software and high-tech equipment enable innovative research activities.

We support lab infrastructure in Liberia. We provide internet connectivity support at five priority labs across the country. In addition, we provide key software support which enhances the documentation, tracking, and reporting of specimens for diagnosis.

eHealth Africa built/renovated Immunization Coordination Centers (ICCs) in 9 African countries.

Emergency Operations Centers

We have built and equipped emergency operations centers (EOCs) across West Africa, as part of our goal to strengthen our partner governments’ capacities to respond to public health emergencies.

We provide operational and human capacity support to EOCs in Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

We continue to provide support to 8 polio EOCs in Nigeria, including the National EOC in Abuja and state EOCs in Bauchi, Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto and Yobe.

We further delivered support to the National EOCs in Sierra Leone and Liberia, as well as county EOCs in each of Liberia’s 15 counties to curb the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

These EOCs provide the infrastructure to support country-level emergency preparedness and management functions to thwart potential public health emergencies and have successfully supported responses to other outbreaks, including meningitis and cholera.
