eHA has been providing operational support to Liberia’s priority labs since 2014.

Currently, eHA delivers operational support and personnel to Bong Lab, Tappita Lab, Redemption Lab, and the Liberian Institute of Biomedical Research (LIBR). eHA also conducted lab management refresher training, in which staff at the four priority labs were trained in sample handling and processing, as well as data entry, security, and analysis.

eHA lab support has improved effectiveness of the lab system by providing human capacity support for three years, as well as improved electronic submission of lab reports by providing internet connectivity at priority labs since 2014.

Provide Lab Desk Officers to each of the priority labs to manage lab sample processing and data entry
Conduct training for lab management staff in lab sample handling, storage, and processing, as well as data entry, security, and analysis

beneficiaries

The Ministry of Health (MoH), which requires fast and reliable data related to samples sent from health facilities to labs for processing. The MoH relies on the lab system to provide accurate diagnostics on samples to test for potential infectious diseases, and to accurately report test results in a timely and consistent fashion.
